When reporting a bug, it helps enormously if you include your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (You → Settings → About) and what you were doing when it happened.
Common questions
My scan didn't pick up the recipe properly
Scanning works best on a flat, evenly lit, printed page with the recipe filling the frame. Crop tightly so only the recipe is inside the guides. If the result is still off, everything on the review screen is editable before you save — and anything Munchii wasn't sure about is highlighted in yellow. For handwriting, expect to correct a word or two.
My voice recording came out wrong
Record somewhere reasonably quiet, say quantities clearly ("two hundred grams", not "200g"), and pause briefly between steps. The live transcript shows what we're hearing as you speak, so you can stop and re-record if it's drifting. As with scanning, you can fix anything on the review screen.
Where did my unfinished recipe go?
If you left the editor and chose Keep draft, it's in Library → Drafts. Drafts are private to you. Drafts you don't touch for 30 days are cleared automatically.
How do I remove a recipe from a menu without deleting it?
Open the menu, then either swipe the recipe left and tap Remove, or use the ••• menu on the row. This only takes it out of that menu — the recipe stays in your library.
Can I use Munchii offline?
Recipes you've opened recently are available offline, and cook mode works without a connection. Scanning, voice capture and the feed need internet.
Why can't I publish my recipe?
Publishing needs at least a title, one ingredient and one photo. The hint under the Publish button tells you what's still missing.
How do I report a recipe, comment or person?
Tap the ••• menu on the item and choose Report, then pick a reason. Reports are confidential. We review against our Community Guidelines, usually within two business days, and we'll tell you the outcome. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Block. They won't be able to follow you, see your published recipes or comment on them, and you won't see their content.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: You → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, recipes, drafts, photos, comments, likes and follows. It can't be undone, and backups are purged within 30 days. If you'd rather export your data first, or you can't access the app, email privacy@munchii.app and we'll handle it.
Do you have an Android app?
Not yet — Munchii is iPhone-only (iOS 17 and later). Email hello@munchii.app and we'll tell you when that changes.
